Ink, water, breath, and a single brushstroke.
Sumi-e is the art of saying more with less — where movement matters more than perfection, and a simple line can hold surprising depth. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you will learn the foundations of traditional Japanese ink painting and discover how expressive black ink can be when guided with intention rather than control.
Working step by step, you’ll explore brush handling, ink tones, and classic nature subjects, leaving with finished artworks and a calm, repeatable practice you can continue at home.
