BUNDABERG Modern Calligraphy Workshop 1 August 2026

Modern calligraphy is equal parts rhythm, breath, and a little bit of magic in the wrist. In this relaxed, hands-on afternoon, you will learn the essentials of beautiful pointed-pen lettering and leave with confident strokes, a personalised practice plan, and a handful of frame-worthy flourishes.

What you will learn

• The toolkit: nibs, holders, inks, and paper that play well together
• Posture, pen angle, ink flow, and pressure control (hello, hairlines and downstrokes)
• Foundational strokes that build every modern alphabet
• Lowercase letterforms, spacing, and simple connections
• Capitals that behave (plus a few that show off—tastefully)
• Word layout, bounce, and composition for cards, tags, and small prints

• A complete beginner kit to keep: oblique or straight pen holder, two nibs, black practice ink, guide sheets, and premium practice paper
• Live demonstrations with plenty of one-on-one coaching
