Bundaberg The Brush and Pen Studio Workshop

Three workshops. Two ink traditions. One creative weekend studio experience.

The Brush & Pen Studio brings together Japanese ink painting and modern calligraphy during the Bundaberg Creative Weekend. Across three sessions, you will explore expressive brushwork, traditional Sumi-e subjects and elegant pointed pen lettering.

This package is ideal if you love working with ink, line and movement. You will begin with Sumi-e Part 1, continue into modern calligraphy, then return on Sunday for Sumi-e Part 2 to deepen your brush confidence.

Sunday

• 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Japanese Ink Painting Workshop – Part 2: Orchid and Chrysanthemum

What to Bring

All materials and tools are supplied. Please bring your own drinks, snacks or lunch as needed. There are cafés and food options nearby during breaks.

For the Sumi-e workshops, an apron or clothing you do not mind receiving a small ink souvenir is recommended.
