Two workshops. Four traditional subjects. One calm and creative introduction to Japanese ink painting.

The Japanese Ink Painting Journey brings together both Sumi-e workshops from the Bundaberg Creative Weekend. Across two sessions, you will explore the traditional subjects of plum blossom, bamboo, orchid and chrysanthemum using brush, ink and water.

This package is ideal if you would like to experience the full Sumi-e series rather than choosing just one session. You will begin with the foundations in Part 1, then continue your practice in Part 2 as you build confidence with expressive brushwork and simple natural forms.

All materials and tools are supplied. Please bring your own drinks, snacks or lunch as needed. There are cafés and food options nearby during breaks.

An apron or clothing you do not mind receiving a small ink souvenir is recommended.
